Councillor Mark Ellen

I was born in Nairn, Scotland and have lived in Swale for 26 years.  I have one daughter named Holly.

I attended Oakfield School in Kelty, Fife, Scotland and Cowdenbeath Technical College where I achieved national engineering qualifications.

I am currently employed as a music teacher and have sat as a Committee Member on the Musicians Union Committee and School Governor at Richmond Primary School, Sheerness.

Current issues in my ward include: flytipping, anti-social behaviour, unemployment and the formation of the new Academy.  My ward has a good community spirit and two good beaches.

I am a Member of the sixties hit recording band, Vanity Fare.
