A meeting of the Swale Rural Forum will be held in the Leysdown Village Hall, Wing Road, Leysdown, ME12 4QR , Isle of Sheppey, on Tuesday 13 March 2012 at 7:00pm.

To approve the Minutes of the Meeting held on 10 January 2012 (Minute Nos. 469 - 478) as a correct record.

During public session, members of the public living in the Borough of Swale may make a statement, submit a petition, or ask the Chairman any question on any matter on which the Council has powers or duties, in respect of rural matters.

Questions or statements shall be read at the meeting and shall not last more than three minutes.  An answer from the Chairman may take the form of a direct oral answer or be in writing.  Questions submitted to the Democratic Services section in writing (including email) at least three days before the meeting will be taken first.

Report for Item 5

The Swale Area Committee of Kent Association of Local Councils have submitted the following questions:
a)  What reports are available on the value of Speedwatch in rural areas? 
b)  What guidelines are there for evaluating the usefulness in an area and what steps do Parish Councils take to get Speedwatch? 
c)  What are the priorities for Police enforcement?
A response from Kent Police is attached.

To receive an update about rural tourism projects in Swale (report attached).  There will also be a presentation about Visit Sheppey.
