MINUTES of the Meeting held in the Council Chamber, Swale House, East Street, Sittingbourne on Friday 5 October 2012 from 10:00 am to 10:55 am.
Present: Councillor Duncan Dewar-Whalley (Chairman), Councillors Ben Stokes and Tony Winckless.
Officers Present: Kellie Mackenzie, Donna Price and Georgia Shaill.
Also In Attendance: Councillor Andy Booth and Duncan Milne (Investigating Officer).

consideration of complaint no. sbc 02.12Members agreed that the meeting would be held in open session. The Chairman advised that the matters would be considered together as there was no material differences and he outlined the procedure for the meeting. RESOLVED:
(1) That the Sub-Committee found that there was no breach of Paragraph 9 or 12(a) of the Code and therefore no sanction should apply. RECOMMENDED:
(1) That, to promote high standards of conduct among Members, the Sub-Committee asks that the Monitoring Officer writes to all Members of Swale Borough Council clearly detailing that with regard to declarations they need to seek advice from the Monitoring Officer, the Head of Legal and Democratic Services or from other Solicitors in Legal Services as early as possible, in advance of meetings. |
