MINUTES of the Meeting held in the Council Chamber, Swale House, East Street, Sittingbourne on Friday 12th June 2009 from 10:00 am to 11:45 am.

RESOLVED:

(1) That under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

complaint nos. sbc 0001/09, sbc 0002/09, sbc 0003/09

The Sub-Committee determined that there was insufficient information to identify a potential breach of the Code of Conduct and, therefore, no further action is to be taken with regard to the complaint.

RESOLVED:

(1) That no further action be taken on the complaint

(2) That Lynsted with Kingsdown Parish Council be advised to review the sections in the Parish Council's Standing Orders concerning the Code of Conduct to bring them in line with the Model Code of Conduct for Parish and Town Councils 2007.

(3) That Lynsted with Kingsdown Parish Council be advised to ensure that arrangements for meetings comply with the Parish Council's Standing Orders in future.

The Sub-Committee determined that this matter should be referred to the Monitoring Officer to investigate whether there had been a breach of the Code of Conduct.

RESOLVED:

(1) That the matter should be referred to the Monitoring Officer.

The Sub-Committee determined that there was insufficient information to identify a potential breach of the Code of Conduct and, therefore, no further action be taken with regard to the complaint.
