A meeting of the South Thames Gateway Building Control Joint Committee will be held in the Meeting Room 13, Medway Council Offices, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham on Tuesday 15 September 2009 at 10:00am.

Members: Councillor Gerry Lewin (Chairman) and Councillor Vice - Chairman not yet elected (Vice Chairman).

Quorum = 2

 



Members of the Committee are: Councillor Gerry Lewin (Chairman) (Swale Borough Council), Councillor Snelling (Vice-Chairman) (Gravesham Borough Council) and Councillor Chitty (Medway Council).

The Chairman will announce any late items which do not appear on the main agenda but which he has agreed should be considered by reason of special circumstances to be specified in the reports.

(a) Personal interests under the Code of Conduct:

A Councillor who declares a personal interest in a matter, including the nature of the interest, may stay, speak and vote on the matter.
 
(b) Prejudicial interests under the Code of Conduct

A Councillor who declares a personal and prejudicial interest in a matter, including the nature of the interest, must withdraw from the room and take no part in the debate or vote on the matter.

Councillors who have declared a personal and prejudicial interest may make representations, answer questions and give evidence before leaving the room but only if members of the public are allowed to attend for the same purpose.

If an interest is not declared at the outset of the meeting, it should be disclosed as soon as the interest becomes apparent.

(A) South Thames Gateway Building Control Business Plan 2010/2011

The report sets out the initial proposals for the South Thames Gateway Building Control Business Plan and seeks approval for the Draft Business Plan to be sent for consultation to Partner authorities.
 
(Note: Approval of the Draft Business Plan is an executive decision delegated to the
Joint Committee by each Partner Authority and therefore subject to call-in under each Authority's usual call-in procedures).
