MINUTES of the Meeting held in the Committee Room, Swale House, East Street, Sittingbourne on Thursday 15th March 2007 from 4:50 pm to 5:17 pm.

Present: Councillor Bowles (Chairman), Councillors Harrison, Gerry Lewin and Elvina Lowe.

Officers Present: Mrs Bescoby.

Also In Attendance: Councillors Mike Cosgrove and Jordan.

807	minutes The Minutes of the Meeting held on 1st February 2007 were approved as a correct record.
808	exclusion of the press and public That under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, as amended, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

809	report from the response panel The Chairman of the Response Panel presented the findings of the Panel to the Emergency Committee. He outlined the report and referred to a flow chart regarding the process that would follow, which was circulated to Members. The Committee suggested the addition of 'suitable and robust' to recommendation 1. The Committee thanked the Response Panel for their work. RESOLVED: (1) That the report of the Response Panel be agreed subject to a minor amendment to recommendation 1 as detailed above. (2) That the JNC Joint Secretaries be asked to facilitate a meeting as detailed in the report.
