MINUTES of the Meeting held in the Committee Room, Swale House, East Street, Sittingbourne on Thursday 1st February 2007 from 8:00 pm to 8:15 pm.

Present: Councillor Bowles (Chairman), Councillors Harrison, Gerry Lewin and Elvina Lowe.

Officers Present: Mrs Bescoby.

Also In Attendance: Councillor Mike Cosgrove (as Executive Member for Finance and Performance).

695	minutes The Minutes of the Meeting held on 19th January 2007 (Minute Nos. 652 - 654) were taken as read, approved and signed by the Chairman as a correct record.
696	exclusion of the press and public RESOLVED: (1) That under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, as amended, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

697	appointment of external resource to support the response panel The Chairman gave details of external advisers that would be available to give support to the Response Panel. RESOLVED: (1) That Mr Richard Penn be appointed as the external adviser to support the Response Panel in its investigation.
