MINUTES of the Meeting held in the Assembly Room, Swale House, East Street, Sittingbourne on Wednesday 21st April 2010 from 10:02 am to 10:14 am.

Present: Councillor Lesley Ingham (Chairman), Councillors Bobbin and Paul Sturdgess.

Officers Present: Philippa Davies, Samantha Potts and Donna Price.

Also In Attendance: Kelly Breeze (Designated Premises Supervisor), Mr P Kee (Counsel representing the Premises Licence Holder), Mr A Mohammed (Premises Licence Holder), Mr M Moss (Licensing Enforcement Officer, Swale Borough Council), Mr C Phillips (Trading Standards Officer) and Mr G Rowley (Police Licensing Officer).

The Chairman opened the meeting by introducing the Sub-Committee and the Officers present. She then outlined the procedure that would be followed.

review of premises licence under the licensing act 2003

PC Rowley reported that PC Murray was unable to attend the meeting; he also advised that further evidence had been received. Discussion ensued regarding the need to ensure continuity of the review.

RESOLVED:

(1) That the Review of the Premises Licence under the Licensing Act 2003 - Cherry Express (convenience store), Sheerness be adjourned to allow PC Murray to attend, an interpreter to be present, to be arranged by the Solicitor, and further evidence to be submitted at a re-convened meeting of the Licensing Sub-Committee.
