MINUTES of the Meeting held in the Council Chamber, Swale House, East Street, Sittingbourne on Tuesday 10th August 2010 from 10:20 am to 10:23 am.

Present: Councillor Derek Conway (Chairman), Councillors Mick Constable and Nick Williams.

Officers Present: Joanne Hammond, Samantha Potts and Donna Price.

The Chairman opened the meeting by introducing the Sub-Committee and the Officers present. He then outlined the procedure that would be followed.

application for a street trading licence (non festival)

The Chairman introduced the report which provided details of an application received for the sale of packaged ice creams and lollies from a vehicle (bicycle with trailer) on Minster Leas promenade from the White House to Minster Cliffs.

Members spoke in support of the application and noted that no objections had been received by the Licensing Department to this application.

In making their decision, the Sub-Committee advised that the Council may at any time vary the conditions of a Street Trading Consent.

RESOLVED:

(1) That in respect of the Street Trading Licence (non-festival), the Sub-Committee's decision is attached as Appendix 1:

The application be granted for a period of one year. Hours of trading will be 11.00 - 16.00 Monday - Sunday.
