A meeting of the Standards Consideration Sub-Committee will be held in the Committee Room, Swale House, East Street, Sittingbourne on Wednesday 27 April 2011 at 10:00am.

Members: Councillor Chairman not yet elected (Chairman), Councillor Vice - Chairman not yet elected (Vice Chairman), Councillors Dave Banks, Lloyd Bowen, Jackie Constable, Adrian Crowther, Patricia Sandle and Ben Stokes.

Quorum = 3

 



Members:  Mr Chris Maclean (Independent Member), Councillor Crowther and Parish Councillor Addicott.

consideration of complaint no. sbc 0005/10



The Standards Referrals Sub-Committees referred a complaint about a possible breach of the Code of Conduct to the Director of Corporate Services/Monitoring Officer for investigation.  The Monitoring Officer has arranged for these matters to be investigated and the Investigator's report is attached as an exempt appendix.  Members will see that the Investigating Officer's conclusion is that there is no breach of the Code of Conduct.

The Standards Referrals Sub-Committees referred a complaint about a possible breach of the Code of Conduct to the Director of Corporate Services/Monitoring Officer for investigation.  The Monitoring Officer has arranged for these matters to be investigated and the Investigator's report is attached as an exempt appendix.  Members will see that the Investigating Officer's conclusion is that there is no breach of the Code of Conduct in relation to Paragraph 12; however he concluded that there was a breach of the Code of Conduct in relation to Paragraphs 5 and 9.

To decide whether to pass the resolution set out below in respect of the following items: -

That under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, as amended, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.
